The Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns (Metairie, LA), 59-42 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Green Wave (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Newman (New Orleans, LA). The Greenies go into the non-league test with a 8-0 record. In their last test, Newman notched a victory over Morris Jeff Community (New Orleans, LA), 77-17, in a non-league test.

The Cajuns now own a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Benjamin Franklin for a non-league test on Saturday, December 17. Metairie Park Country Day will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 70-52 non-league loss to East Jefferson (Metairie, LA). The Falcons record now stands at 4-8.
