Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting San Gabriel Academy Eagles (San Gabriel, CA), 58-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Santa Margarita upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Eagles host Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Mater Dei Catholic won 72-62 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop's (La Jolla, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Village Christian Crusaders (Sun Valley, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 17. San Gabriel Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
