Citrus Valley Blackhawks (Redlands, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Shadow Hills Knights (Indio, CA), 46-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Citrus Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Blackhawks travel to Beaumont (Beaumont, CA) to play the Cougars in a bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-2.

Next up, the Knights play the JW North Huskies (Riverside, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Shadow Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 51-40 non-league win over Ramona (Riverside, CA).
