New Mexico High School Basketball - Cibola topped by Valley

The Valley Vikings basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Cibola Cougars to 36 in the Vikings non-league victory on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Valley will battle a Hornets team coming off a 56-55 non-league loss to Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 3-3.

The Cougars (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen come into the non-league contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, Carlsbad prevailed over Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM), 48-11, in a non-league contest.
