Cimarron-Memorial Spartans (Las Vegas, NV) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Durango Trailblazers (Las Vegas, NV), 43-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cimarron-Memorial upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Bonanza (Las Vegas, NV) to play the Bengals in a 4A Desert bout on Friday, December 16. The Bengals come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Bonanza lost 44-25 in their recent non-league bout against Sierra Vista (Las Vegas, NV)

Next up, the Trailblazers play the Silverado Skyhawks (Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Durango will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Skyhawks come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 45-40 non-league win over Moapa Valley (Overton, NV).
