Corry Beavers (Corry, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA), 44-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Corry upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Beavers travel to Iroquois (Erie, PA) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Maplewood Tigers (Guys Mills, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Girard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
