Florida High School Basketball - Mitchell over Gulf

December 8, 2022: New Port Richey, FL 34652

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) and the host Gulf Buccaneers (New Port Richey, FL), saw Mitchell's basketball squad overcome Gulf by a tally of 50-38.

With the victory, Mitchell improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL) to confront the Bulls in a 6A District 4 challenge on Monday, December 12. The Bulls come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Wiregrass Ranch won 60-35 in their recent non-league challenge against East Lake (Tarpon Springs, FL)

Next up, the Buccaneers confront the Hudson Cobras (Hudson, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Gulf will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Cobras come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 67-26 league loss to Anclote (Holiday, FL).
