The South Hamilton Hawks basketball team scored 65 points and held the host St. Edmond Gaels to 24 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Hawks now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saydel for a Heart of Iowa contest on Friday, December 9. South Hamilton will battle a Eagles team coming off a 46-26 league loss to Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.

The Gaels (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats enter the North Central contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Humboldt triumphed over Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA), 64-41, in a league contest.
