The Cardinal Hayes Cardinals basketball team scored 83 points and restricted the visiting Archbishop Molloy Stanners to 71 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Peter's for a Catholic AA - New York contest on Tuesday, December 12. Cardinal Hayes will battle a Eagles team coming off a 51-28 non-league win over Monsignor Farrell (Staten Island, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.

The Stanners (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Xaverian (Brooklyn, NY). The Clippers come into the Catholic AA - Brooklyn/Queens contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Xaverian was defeated by Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY), 53-45, in a non-league contest.
