The Hickory Flat Rebels basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Ashland Blue Devils to 47 in the Rebels non-league victory on Friday.

The Rebels now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mantachie for a non-league contest on Monday, December 11. Hickory Flat will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 88-63 non-league loss to New Site (New Site, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-5.

The Blue Devils (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Byers (Holly Springs, MS). The Lions come into the 1A Region 2 contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Byers prevailed over Pine Grove (Ripley, MS), 57-45, in a league contest.
