Avoyelles Mustangs (Moreauville, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA), 52-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Avoyelles upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to North Central (Lebeau, LA) to clash with the Hurricanes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 5-3. North Central won 59-53 in their recent non-league bout against Oakdale (Oakdale, LA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the St. Joseph's - Plaucheville Eagles (Plaucheville, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 76-47 non-league win over False River (New Roads, LA).
