The Fairfield Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Azle Hornets to 55 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grapeland for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Fairfield will meet a Sandies team coming off a 70-61 non-league win over Azle (Azle, TX). The Sandies record now stands at 3-5.

The Hornets (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Connally (Waco, TX). The Cadets enter the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Connally was nudged by Magnolia (Magnolia, TX), 55-47, in a non-league contest.
