The Bob Hope Eagles (Port Arthur, TX) basketball nipped the host Waelder Wildcats (Waelder, TX), 53-51 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Harmony Science Academy (Beaumont, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 6-5 record.
The Wildcats now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Flatonia for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Waelder will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 72-50 non-league loss to Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-6.
