Buna Cougars (Buna, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Fork Gators (Kingwood, TX), 56-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Buna upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Legacy Christian Academy (Beaumont, TX) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Legacy Christian Academy lost 66-21 in their recent non-league bout against Orangefield (Orangefield, TX)

Next up, the Gators clash with the Navasota Rattlers (Navasota, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. West Fork will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record.
