Texas High School Basketball - McKinney tops Cypress Woods

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) and the visiting Cypress Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX), saw McKinney's basketball squad knock off Cypress Woods by a count of 56-43.

With the victory, McKinney upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX) to play the Fightin' Indians in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Fightin' Indians come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Jacksonville lost 51-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Cy-Fair Bobcats (Cypress, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Cypress Woods will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 63-57 non-league loss to Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX).
