Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Spurger Pirates (Spurger, TX), 71-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Diboll upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Veritas Classical Academy (Beaumont, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Veritas Classical Academy won 48-40 in their recent non-league bout against School of the Woods (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Pirates play the Kirbyville Wildcats (Kirbyville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Spurger will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 64-52 non-league loss to West Hardin (Saratoga, TX).
