The Vandegrift Vipers basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Hays Hawks to 33 in the Vipers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vipers now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tomball Memorial for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Vandegrift will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 61-40 non-league win over Jefferson (San Antonio, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-4.

The Hawks (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (San Antonio, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Jefferson was defeated by Tomball Memorial (Tomball, TX), 61-40, in a non-league contest.
