In Friday's non-league outing, the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX), by a count of 72-50.

The Flyers (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 15-2 record. In their last outing, Los Fresnos smashed Pineywoods Community Academy (Lufkin, TX), 59-36, in a non-league outing.

The Red Devils now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they travel to Pollok Central for a 3A Region III District 21 outing on Friday, December 15.
