The Mascenic Regional Vikings basketball team (New Ipswich, NH), was overwhelmed 61-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Newport Tigers (Newport, NH)
The Tigers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mascoma for a Division III battle on Tuesday, December 12. Newport will confront a Royals team coming off a 49-24 league win over Monadnock (East Swanzey, NH). The Royals record now stands at 1-0.
The Vikings (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hinsdale (Hinsdale, NH). The Pacers come into the Division IV battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Hinsdale was overwhelmed by Holy Family Academy (Manchester, NH), 69-50, in a league battle.
