Minford Falcons (Minford, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Gallia Rebels (Crown City, OH), 70-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Minford upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Falcons host New Albany (New Albany, OH) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-2. New Albany lost 53-45 in their recent league bout against Grove City (Grove City, OH)

Next up, the Rebels play the St. Joseph Central Flyers (Ironton, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. South Gallia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Flyers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 62-44 non-league loss to Wayne (Wayne, WV).
