Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northside Indians (Vernon, TX), 54-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Petrolia upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Pirates travel to Electra (Electra, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Electra won 92-24 in their recent non-league bout against Northside (Vernon, TX)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Gold-Burg Bears (Bowie, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 56-40 non-league loss to Newcastle (Newcastle, TX).
