South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pinckney Pirates (Pinckney, MI), 60-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Lyon East upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Cougars host Kettering (Waterford, MI) to play the Captains in a Lakes Valley bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Captains go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Kettering lost 66-57 in their recent league bout against South Lyon (South Lyon, MI)

Next up, the Pirates play the Mason Bulldogs (Mason, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Pinckney will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 71-70 non-league loss to Adrian (Adrian, MI).
