North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines over South Johnston

December 8, 2023: Four Oaks, NC 27524

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) and the host South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC), saw Union Pines's basketball squad overcome South Johnston by a tally of 78-69.

With the victory, Union Pines improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Lee County (Sanford, NC) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Lee County won 76-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Southern Nash Firebirds (Bailey, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. South Johnston will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record.
