Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL), 63-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chicago Mt. Carmel upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Caravan host IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Meteors play the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. De La Salle will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record.
