Earle Bulldogs (Earle, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR), 74-72 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Earle upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Brookland (Brookland, AR) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Bearcats come into the bout with a record of 10-1. Brookland won 45-18 in their recent league bout against Blytheville (Blytheville, AR)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Cabot Panthers (Cabot, AR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Batesville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 12-0 record after their 48-30 non-league win over Lake Hamilton (Pearcy, AR).
