The Celina Bobcats basketball team (Celina, TX), was nudged 40-39 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX)

The Bearcats now possess a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Princeton for a 5A Region II District 13 battle on Tuesday, December 12. Sherman will confront a Panthers team coming off a 44-37 non-league loss to Lincoln (Dallas, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 9-7.

The Bobcats (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Frisco, TX). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Independence was nudged by Denton (Denton, TX), 36-24, in a non-league battle.
