Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cypress Ridge Rams (Houston, TX), 57-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Manvel upgrades its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX) to play the Indians in a 5A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 12-6. Santa Fe won 54-52 in their recent non-league bout against Clear Lake (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Rams play the Spring Woods Tigers (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Cypress Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 50-38 non-league win over South Houston (South Houston, TX).
