Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA), 57-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Saydel upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Roland-Story (Story City, IA) to play the Norsemen in a Heart of Iowa bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Norsemen come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Roland-Story won 74-23 in their recent league bout against Greene County (Jefferson, IA)

Next up, the Maroons play the Orient-Macksburg Bulldogs (Orient, IA) in a Bluegrass bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Diagonal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record.
