Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers (Gardner, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mill Valley Jaguars (Shawnee, KS), 50-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Gardner-Edgerton upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Trailblazers host Olathe North (Olathe, KS) to play the Eagles in a Sunflower bout on Friday, December 15. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Olathe North won 39-20 in their recent non-league bout against Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS)

Next up, the Jaguars play the Blue Valley Tigers (Stilwell, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Mill Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 0-0 non-league Basehor-Linwood (Basehor, KS).
