The Smithville Seminoles tipped the host Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles basketball team by a final score of 2-0 in Friday's non-league test.
The Seminoles (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS). The Volunteers go into the non-league test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Starkville Academy was tipped by Pillow Academy (Greenwood, MS), 65-40, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Biggersville for a 1A Region 1 test on Tuesday, December 12. Tupelo Christian Prep will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 57-27 league win over Tremont (Tremont, MS). The Lions record now stands at 5-3.
