Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Weatherford Kangaroos (Weatherford, TX) and the host Troy Trojans (Troy, TX), saw Weatherford's basketball squad nip Troy by a margin of 39-34.
The Kangaroos (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Trinity (Euless, TX). The Trojans go into the 6A Region I District 3 test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Trinity was tipped by Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX), 43-37, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lago Vista for a non-league battle on Friday, December 8. Troy will confront a Vikings team coming off a 47-28 non-league loss to Weatherford (Weatherford, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 5-8.
