The Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) basketball nipped the host Apex Cougars (Apex, NC), 30-28 in Friday's non-league test.
The Patriots (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
The Cougars now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Green Level for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Apex will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 42-24 non-league win over Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC). The Gators record now stands at 2-3.
