Pittsford Panthers (Pittsford, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Newark Reds (Newark, NY), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pittsford upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Panthers host Churchville-Chili (Churchville, NY) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Reds play the Brockport Blue Devils (Brockport, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Newark will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
