Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL) backers went home pleased Monday as they observed their basketball team overcome the host Midwest Central Raiders (Manito, IL), 51-36 in a league contest.
The Hilltoppers (7-0) will now prepare for their contest against Illini Central/Greenview (Mason City, IL). The come into the Sangamo contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Illini Central/Greenview was topped by Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL), 55-41, in a league contest.
Next up, the Raiders face the Brimfield Indians (Brimfield, IL) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 11. Midwest Central will attempt to advance on its 2-7 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 2-7 record after their 59-31 non-league loss to Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL).
