Glen Rose Beavers (Malvern, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Abundant Life Owls (North Little Rock, AR), 54-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Glen Rose upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Beavers travel to Prescott (Prescott, AR) to play the Curley Wolves in a 3A Region 7 bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Curley Wolves go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Owls play the Cutter-Morning Star Eagles (Hot Springs National Park, AR) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Abundant Life will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 56-54 league loss to Bigelow (Bigelow, AR).
