Elba Lancers (Elba, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Albion Purple Eagles (Albion, NY), 60-45 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Elba improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host Wheatland-Chili (Scottsville, NY) to confront the Wildcats in a Section 5 Genesee County challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Wheatland-Chili lost 71-46 in their recent league challenge against Byron-Bergen (Bergen, NY)

Next up, the Purple Eagles confront the Oakfield-Alabama Hornets (Oakfield, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 12. Albion will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 56-39 league win over Alexander (Alexander, NY).
