Kansas High School Basketball - Andover Central can't hold off Derby

The Derby Panthers basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Andover Central Jaguars to 48 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arkansas City for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Derby will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 53-18 non-league win over Clearwater (Clearwater, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.

The Jaguars (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Andover (Andover, KS). The Trojans enter the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Andover was nudged by McPherson (McPherson, KS), 71-64, in a non-league contest.
