North Carolina High School Basketball - Lake Norman thwarts Bessemer City

The Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) basketball knocked off the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), 86-74 in Friday's non-league contest.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Iredell for a 4A Conference 57 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Lake Norman will battle a Vikings team coming off a 61-54 non-league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-5.

The Yellow Jackets (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Huss was defeated by Crest (Shelby, NC), 65-62, in a league contest.
