Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bland Tigers (Merit, TX), 67-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sulphur Bluff upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Bears host Campbell (Campbell, TX) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Campbell won 63-57 in their recent non-league bout against Bland (Merit, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Bland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 59-38 non-league win over Ector (Ector, TX).
