Buena Bulldogs (Ventura, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. Bonaventure Seraphs (Ventura, CA), 61-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Buena upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA) to play the Spartans in a Channel bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 5-4. Rio Mesa won 72-64 in their recent league bout against Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA)

Next up, the Seraphs play the Chadwick Dolphins (Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. St. Bonaventure will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Dolphins come into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 62-51 league loss to Flintridge Prep (La Canada, CA).
