Hillsborough Baptist Lions (Seffner, FL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Candlelight Christian Academy Flames (Lake Wales, FL), 54-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Hillsborough Baptist upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions host Geneva Classical Academy (Lakeland, FL) to clash with the Knights in a Central Florida bout on Monday, December 12. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Geneva Classical Academy lost 78-28 in their recent league bout against Florida College Academy (Temple Terrace, FL)

Next up, the Flames clash with the Classical Christian School for the Arts Knights (Pinellas Park, FL) in a Central Florida bout, on Monday, December 12. Candlelight Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 51-44 league win over Faith Christian Academy (Plant City, FL).
