Crean Lutheran Saints (Irvine, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA), 57-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Crean Lutheran upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Rancho Verde won 60-55 in their recent non-league bout against San Clemente (San Clemente, CA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Portola will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 72-65 non-league loss to JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, CA).
