Spencerville Bearcats (Spencerville, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Crestview Knights (Convoy, OH), 58-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Spencerville upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Ottoville (Ottoville, OH) to play the Big Green in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Big Green come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Ottoville won 67-39 in their recent league bout against Fort Jennings (Fort Jennings, OH)

Next up, the Knights play the Columbus Grove Bulldogs (Columbus Grove, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Crestview will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 61-42 non-league loss to Arlington (Arlington, OH).
