The Longmeadow Lancers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host East Longmeadow Spartans to 33 in the Lancers league triumph on Friday.
The Lancers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Putnam Vo-Tech for a Valley contest on Monday, December 12. Longmeadow will battle a Beavers team coming off a 71-48 non-league win over Agawam (Agawam, MA). The Beavers record now stands at 1-0.
The Spartans (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Agawam (Agawam, MA). The Brownies enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Agawam was defeated by Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA), 71-48, in a non-league contest.
