The Smithsburg Leopards basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Francis Scott Key Eagles to 37 in the Leopards non-league victory on Friday.

The Leopards now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brunswick for a CMC contest on Tuesday, December 13. Smithsburg will battle a Railroaders team coming off a 52-50 non-league win over Southern (Oakland, MD). The Railroaders record now stands at 1-1.

The Eagles (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hereford (Parkton, MD). The Bulls come into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Hereford prevailed over Lansdowne (Baltimore, MD), 45-39, in a non-league contest.
