Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL), 46-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Roanoke-Benson upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Rockets travel to Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Peoria Heights lost 56-45 in their recent league bout against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL)

Next up, the Mallards play the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Henry-Senachwine will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Flying Geese go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 55-53 non-league win over Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL).
