Jackson Academy Raiders (Jackson, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host St. Joseph Catholic Bruins (Madison, MS), 61-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson Academy upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Raiders host Oxford (Oxford, MS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Oxford won 50-37 in their recent non-league bout against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)

Next up, the Bruins play the St. Aloysius Flashes (Vicksburg, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 3 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. St. Joseph Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record.
