The Rye Garnets basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting John Jay Wolves to 49 in the Garnets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Garnets now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harrison for a Section 1 Conference 2D contest on Saturday, January 7.
The Wolves (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mahopac (Mahopac, NY). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Mahopac was outscored by Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY), 70-60, in a non-league contest.
