The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lake Dallas Falcons (Corinth, TX), 59-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, The Colony upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Cougars host Independence (Frisco, TX) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Independence won 48-35 in their recent non-league bout against Anna (Anna, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the V.R. Eaton Eagles (Fort Worth, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Lake Dallas will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 54-42 non-league loss to DeSoto (DeSoto, TX).
