The Lake Region Thunder (Eagle Lake, FL) basketball knocked off the visiting Mulberry Panthers (Mulberry, FL), 56-39 in Friday's non-league test.

The Thunder (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Avon Park (Avon Park, FL). The Red Devils go into the non-league test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Avon Park went down by Lemon Bay (Englewood, FL), 65-33, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frostproof for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. Mulberry will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-29 non-league win over Oasis Christian (Winter Haven, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-2.
